It is with deep sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Maryke on February 5, 2019 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerrit (1976). Beloved aunt (Tante) of Janice Cox (Kevin), Stewart Flameling (Jocelyn), Margaret Heikkila (Brian); Stewart Flameling (Jan), the late Margarita Moate (2013), Lawrence Flameling (Patricia) and Edward Flameling. Predeceased by brothers Schelte and Ype. Loved by sister-in-law Tine; and the children of all of her nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 am at Lampman Funeral Chapel, at 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, ON. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetary in Wellandport.

Cosby, Darlene passed away at Oakwood Park Lodge in Niagara Falls on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the age of 53. Loving sister to John (Grace), Dave (Karen), Kevin (Rose), Colleen Colbert (Bruce), Victor (Phoenix), Marilyn McBride (Chuck), Gary, Jim (Mary) and Robert. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Tuesday January 29th at 10:00 A.M. Interment at North Pelham Cemetery to follow. Visitation will take place from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
Robert “Bob” Carson
Robert (Bob) Orrin Carson of Fonthill, Ontario, passed peacefully from this earth on January 21, 2019, at the age of 89.
Devoted husband to his wife Rosemary for more than 65 years. Beloved by his sons and daughters-in-law: Rob (Barbara), John (Paula), Tom (Lynda) and Orrin. “Papa” will be deeply missed by his 3 grandchildren Rebecca, Rachel and Tommy. Predeceased by his elder sister Mary Sampson and younger sister Margaret Stephen. Survived by his youngest sister Diane Casson and his brother-in-law Jack Evans (Sheryl).
Bob graduated third in his class from Queen’s University, Kingston in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and obtained his Master of Science from Queen’s in 1952. He began his career in Metallurgy at Orenda Engines Ltd. in Downsview shortly after graduation and was then recruited by Bethlehem Steel in PA, USA in the late 1950’s. He returned to Canada and finished off his career with 25 years at Atlas Steel in Welland, being an integral part of their R&D department. Bob lived in Fonthill for the majority of his life, and many people knew him as a quiet man with a big heart. His friends knew him as a “stand-up guy”. Rest in peace, Bob, Dad, Papa.
A private interment will take place in Kingston, Ontario with a celebration of life planned for a future date. If you would like to honour Bob’s life please, in lieu of flowers, give blood, donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Passed away at Welland Hospital on Sunday December 23, 2018 at the age of 68. Loving husband and best friend to Chris. Dear father of Michael, Lisa, Marcia Largie (Marc) and Amy. Loving Grandfather to Theodore. Roger will be sadly missed by his mother Feliciana Costa, sister Maria Gonzalez and nephews Ernesto and Joseph. Predeceased by his father Jose Costa. Tethered by Heart and Soul to his island home of Pico, Azores. Funeral service will take place at Welland B.I.C. Church 50 Lincoln Street on Thursday December 27th at 11:30 A.M. Cremation to follow. Visitation will take place from 10:00 until time of service.
