It is with deep sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Maryke on February 5, 2019 in her 98th year.  Predeceased by her loving husband Gerrit (1976).  Beloved aunt (Tante) of Janice Cox (Kevin), Stewart Flameling (Jocelyn), Margaret Heikkila (Brian); Stewart Flameling (Jan), the late Margarita Moate (2013), Lawrence Flameling (Patricia) and Edward Flameling.  Predeceased by brothers Schelte and Ype.  Loved by sister-in-law Tine; and the children of all of her nieces and nephews.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 am at Lampman Funeral Chapel, at 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, ON.  Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetary in Wellandport.

Passed away peacefully at Shorthills Villa in Fonthill on Thursday January 31, 2019 in her 96th year. Loving mother of Diane Reed, Beverly Letford (Duart) and Ron. Dear Grandmother to Michael (Joanne), Jason (Kim), Adam (Kimberly), Amanda (Cory), Ezra and Leah. Great Grandmother to Christopher, Nicholas, Elise and Bridget. Jean is survived by her sisters Lillian Scott and Milly Peitsch. Predeceased by her husband Clair (Bill), brothers John and Arthur and son in law Tom. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 5th at 11:00A.M. at the Church of Christ 765 Welland Road, Fenwick. Interment at Lane Cemetery to follow. Darlene Cosby

Cosby, Darlene passed away at Oakwood Park Lodge in Niagara Falls on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the age of 53. Loving sister to John (Grace), Dave (Karen), Kevin (Rose), Colleen Colbert (Bruce), Victor (Phoenix), Marilyn McBride (Chuck), Gary, Jim (Mary) and Robert. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Tuesday January 29th at 10:00 A.M. Interment at North Pelham Cemetery to follow. Visitation will take place from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Robert “Bob” Carson

Robert (Bob) Orrin Carson of Fonthill, Ontario, passed peacefully from this earth on January 21, 2019, at the age of 89.

Devoted husband to his wife Rosemary for more than 65 years.  Beloved by his sons and daughters-in-law: Rob (Barbara), John (Paula), Tom (Lynda) and Orrin. “Papa” will be deeply missed by his 3 grandchildren Rebecca, Rachel and Tommy.  Predeceased by his elder sister Mary Sampson and younger sister Margaret Stephen. Survived by his youngest sister Diane Casson and his brother-in-law Jack Evans (Sheryl).

Bob graduated third in his class from Queen’s University, Kingston in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and obtained his Master of Science from Queen’s in 1952. He began his career in Metallurgy at Orenda Engines Ltd. in Downsview shortly after graduation and was then recruited by Bethlehem Steel in PA, USA in the late 1950’s. He returned to Canada and finished off his career with 25 years at Atlas Steel in Welland, being an integral part of their R&D department. Bob lived in Fonthill for the majority of his life, and many people knew him as a quiet man with a big heart. His friends knew him as a “stand-up  guy”.  Rest in peace, Bob, Dad, Papa.

A private interment will take place in Kingston, Ontario with a celebration of life planned for a future date. If you would like to honour Bob’s life please, in lieu of flowers, give blood, donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

The Lord took her home to be with her loving husband Trienus on Tuesday December 25, 2018 at the age of 93. Loving mother of Bert (Cheryl), Dinah Hardy (Doug), Ralph, Tina Copeland (Doug), Jenny McKeen (Roger), Raymond (Toni), Henry (Tina), Ken (Dianne), Ron (Annette) and Don (Cheryl). Loving Oma to 27 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great  Grandchildren. Nellie will be sadly missed by family and friends in Holland. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for visitation in the Lampman Chapel on Friday December 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 29th at 10:00 A.M. at Fonthill Baptist Church. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Ridgeville to follow. Donations to Fonthill Baptist Church or Christ Community Church would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away at Welland Hospital on Sunday December 23, 2018 at the age of 68. Loving husband and best friend to Chris. Dear father of Michael, Lisa, Marcia Largie (Marc) and Amy. Loving Grandfather to Theodore. Roger will be sadly missed by his mother Feliciana Costa, sister Maria Gonzalez and nephews Ernesto and Joseph. Predeceased by his father Jose Costa. Tethered by Heart and Soul to his island home of Pico, Azores. Funeral service will take place at Welland B.I.C. Church 50 Lincoln Street on Thursday December 27th at 11:30 A.M. Cremation to follow. Passed away on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 69. Loving wife to Pieter. Dear mother of Patricia Gemmell (Jesse) and Stephen (Arlene). Loving Grandmother to Hayley and Trinity. Linda will be sadly missed by her brother Gary Watkinson (Sherry) and sister Bonnie Barends (John), Also by her mother in law Marie Barends, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, Leah and Al Crosbie and other aunts and uncles. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Alma Watkinson, sister Nancy Watkinson, nephew Tyler Watkinson, father in law Pieter Barends, brother in law Robert and sister in law Carol. Forever with a smile on her face and always ready to lend a helping hand, Donna Masi’s big heart will forever be cherished by all who knew her. A beloved mother, grandmother, aunt,sister and friend Donna passed away surrounded by her loved ones in her 63rd year after battling a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Greg Masi, mother to Irene Lowden (Aaron) and Nick Masi (Stephanie). She was the cherished grandmother to Avana, Darcy and Cyrus Lowden. Her big heart, bubbly personality and kind soul brought beauty to everything she touched.
