It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Simone Souter on Friday, July 3^rd, 2020 in her 105^th year. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Raymond after many years apart.  Loving mother of Denny (Kathleen), Andy (Yogi), Elizabeth (the late Gary), Jimmy (Brenda), Elaine (David) Byng, Louanne (Tom) Fritshaw, Christine (Willy) Gerada and Annette (Malcolm) Oliver. Simone was blessed to have many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her. Simone is predeceased by her son Harvey and daughters Margaret and Dorothy.  Due to current restrictions set in place by our Government, there will be a restricted visitation at Lampman Funeral Home, 274 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, on Wednesday, July 8^th, 2020 from 1pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. For those who would like to attend, you must call the funeral home between 9am and 4pm (905) 892-4701 to book a time slot. Only those with reserved slots will be allowed entrance into the premises. There will be a private Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church followed by a family committal service at Maple Lawn Cemetery.  BY MANDATE OF THE BEREAVEMENT AUTHORITY OF ONTARIO,  ALL IN ATTENDANCE MUST WEAR A FACE MASK AND MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING. Donations made to your local Humane Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Albert Hoover in his 96th year.  He is now reunited with his wife Helen. Loving father of Ann (Gord) Dalley and Karl (Sandra) Hoover. Chersihed grandpa of Daryl, Kristin and Michelle. Beloved great-grandpa of Rachel, Nolan and Eli.  A private graveside service will take place at Pleasantview Cemetery.  Memorial donations made to either The Arthritis Society or The Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home.

August 15, 1937-May 28, 2020

God in His infinite wisdom has called His child, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Albert Jan Kiers home on May 28, peacefully at home.

Albert leaves behind his wife of 56 years Freda Kiers (nee DeVries). He will be sadly missed by his son Tony (Anita) Kiers and Chantal, Danielle and Jayden; his daughter Wendy (Brian) Kremer and Brittany (Ralph) Terpstra, Kristyn, Dean, Rachel, Patrick (Shelby), Deacon, Landon, Emmett, Tamara (Dave) DeBoer, Mackenzie and Riley; his son Jerry (Jeniffer) Kiers and Sierra, Cassidy and Cadence; his daughter Marita (Jim) Wagner and Morgan, Adam, Brent and Maya; his daughter Laura Kiers and Bryce, Sage and Drestin Terhaar.  Albert was predeceased by his son Michael (1966) and grandson Tyler (1993).

Psalm 116:15-Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, there will be a private family visitation arranged as per current restrictions at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, Ontario. You are invited to witness the Funeral Service for Albert Kiers via Livestream on Monday, June 1^st, 2020 at 1:30pm. For access to the service please visit the Wellandport United Reformed Church website. A private rite of committal will take place at Pleasantview Cemetery following the service.

August 12th, 1945 – May 22nd, 2020

The Lord in his infinite wisdom called his child, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Tina Huizinga, home. Her journey is done. She fought the good fight and is with Jesus now. 

Revelation 21:4 NKJ version:  “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Tina was predeceased by her husband Gary in 2004.  She will be sadly missed by her family Mike Huizinga,  Annette (Ron) Nieuwold and their children Chelcy, Calvin, Kristen (Aaron) Wassenaar, Ryan and Stacy, Anita (Con) Bartels and their children Tim, Chris (Laura), Kerri (Jesse) Horinga and their daughter Emerson and Jason, Mary (Ted) VanderMeer and their children Steve (Sarah), Heather (Mark) Snippe and their children Trenton, Shane, Baby # 3, Nick and Eric and John (Annette) Huizinga and their children Owen and Xander.

Tina herself had 5 brothers and 3 sisters, and Gary, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, some of which predeceased her, that will also miss her dearly.

Memorial Service and Interment will take place on Tuesday May 26th, 2020 at 11:00am with immediate family only present at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Wainfleet. 

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Tammy Lynn Brown on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in her 49th year. Loving partner of Todd Looby and devoted mother to Hillary and Danielle. Tammy will be lovingly remembered by her parents Bob and Sue Brown and her sister Jenny (Rob) Jensen and brother Cliff (Yolanda) Brown. Daughter in law to Morris (Julie) Looby, sister in law to Sandra (Brent) Sodtke, Alan (Vicky) Looby. Dear niece to Tom (Rose) Skinner, Richard Brown, Lanny (Audrey) Brown, Elizabeth (Carl) Porritt.  She will be fondly remembered by all of her cousins. Tammy loved all her nieces and nephews, Ethan (Kristina) Brown, Tanner Brown, Ashley, Emma and Ryan Jensen, Liam and Grace Sodtke, and William and Paige Looby. Tammy was fortunate to meet her great niece Adelina and loved her to pieces. She was predeceased by her grandparents Ernest (Elsie) Brown and Bill (Alice) Skinner.

Tammy was a graduate of E.L. Crossley Secondary School. She graduated from Guelph University with a BA in History. She completed her Masters of Education at Brock University. After graduating from Guelph, she worked at Windsor University as Department Head of Residence Life, before accepting a position in 2007 at Brock University. She was currently the Manager, Residence Admissions and Administration. Tammy was beautiful, kind, caring person who thought of everyone else first, her loss cannot be put into words.

A special thank you to the staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, Walker Family Cancer Clinic, Wellsprings Niagara and the staff at the St. Catharines Hospital Oncology Department for their compassion and care to Tammy in her time of need.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a fund has been set up for the girls. Please visit your local Royal Bank branch (#08562-003-502-152-2) if you would like to make a donation to the family.

MAY 6, 1934 – APRIL 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janette Sarah Tyminski (Garrie) of Welland, Ontario on April 25th  in her 85^th year.  Janette is survived by her devoted husband Bob of 65 years and their children Ann-Marie (Rick) Smith, Tony (Laura) and Rob (Leigh-Anne) and beloved grandchildren Matthew (Catherine), Cameron (Amy), Jamie (Karley), Taylor (Julia), Easton and Blakeley. She was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Briley & Isla.

Janette is survived by her sisters, Patricia Bobinski and Margaret (Roger) Blondeau; as well as her brothers David (Lynn) and Tom. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret (McGuinness) and Thomas Garrie and brother Paul.

Before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, Janette lived a vibrant life of late night card playing, bingo and bowling.  “Mrs. T” was a rural bus driver for St. Ann’s School in Fenwick for many years and is fondly remembered for her candy-apples at Halloween.  During her retirement years, Janette enjoyed a leisurely life at the trailer and several hours fishing and boating with her faithful husband and later, dedicated caregiver.

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, she passed away peacefully at Royal Rose Nursing Home, where she received care and kindness from many staff during the past three years when her disease became more debilitating.

We hope that we can all be together to celebrate Mom’s life at a later date when the world has regained its balance. Until then…
