ROSEMARY CARSON (nee Evans)
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Rosemary announces her passing on March 22, 2023 in her 93rd year at Northland Pointe, Port Colborne.
Left to mourn are her sons Rob (Barbara 2021), John (Paula), Tom (Lynda) and Orrin. Her grandchildren Rebecca (Matt), Rachel (Brock) and Tommy and her brother Jack (Sheryl).
Love you Mom, love you more.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of over 65 years Robert (Bob) and her parents Johnny and Irene Evans.
Rosemary was born in Sault St. Marie, moved to Kingston as a young girl and grew up there. She was raised by a single mother (widowed) along with her older brother Jack. She graduated via Queens as a RN but eventually left her nursing career to raise her family of four boys. After meeting and marrying Bob in Kingston they moved to Toronto, then to Pennsylvania before settling in Fonthill where she spent the majority of her life.
She enjoyed tennis, paddle tennis, bridge and swimming. She was a major animal lover and a great conversationalist with a quick wit. She always said raising four boys was like being the towel attendant at the YMCA. Her many friends would concur she was extremely kind, generous and had a liberal outlook on life.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northland Pointe for their wonderful care and support.
A private interment will be held in Kingston, Ontario and a Celebration of Life at a later date.
If you would like to honour Rosemary’s life please (in lieu of flowers), donate to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Fonthill, ON or the OSPCA or make a donation to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home, Fenwick, ON. www.lampmanfuneralhome.com
