Stanicki Anne (nee Woychowski)

(Born in Poland March 6, 1922)
Passed away at Bella Senior Care Residence in Niagara Falls on Tuesday August 7, 2018 in her 97th year. Loving mother of Terry (Bette), John (Linda) and Marianne Schweyer (Doug). Loving Grandmother to Brian, Laura, Tyson and Briana. As well as several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Bill (1982), brother William and twin sisters Lena and Tena. Mother loved to cook and you never went away hungry. She was known by family and friends for her cabbage rolls, perogies and dill pickles. The family would like to extend a special thankyou to the staff at Bella Senior Care Residence for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Crowe Eileen Bertha Beatrice (nee Coles)

It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Crowe announces her passing on Sunday July 29, 2018 at the age of 82 at the St.Catharines General Hospital with her family by her side. Born September 21, 1935 Eileen will be missed and remembered dearly by her husband and best friend of 63 years Wesley Crowe. Eileen and Wesley were married on July 30, 1955. Eileen will be sadly missed by their 3 sons, Harvey (Kathy), Jeff (Mary) and Wes Jr. (Patty). Eileen will be fondly remembered and cherished by her 7 Grandchildren David, Sharon, Jason, Crystal, Wesley III, Tyler, Christopher and Tommy (1978). She will be so sadly missed by her 12 Great Grandchildren which she loved to see and cherished. Faith, Wyatt, Alanna, Grace, Landon, Riley, Wesley IIII, Christopher, Hailiy, Maddison, Chloe and Piper. Eileen will be deeply missed by her sisters Irene Lampman (Carson), Helen (Leonard) and Rosemary. Predeceased by her brother Lloyd and sister Rita. The family is following the wishes of Eileen. Robert Gregor Tischler

Sadly the family wishes to announce the passing of Robert Gregor Tischler on July 15, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Lillian Gilbert, daughter Sherry Beluse (Jamie) and stepson Jamie Gilbert (Jillian). Also by Grandchildren Hailey, Tyson and Marley Beluse and Gwendelyn and Rhys Gilbert. Robert is also survived by his brother Fred (Betty) and sister Gertrude. Predeceased by his brother John in 2014. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Fonthill Legion Branch 613 on Friday July 20th at 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. Joan Laven

LAVEN, Joan
Hannie (Joan) Laven, (February 28, 1937) peacefully passed away at the Welland General Hospital on Friday, June 29, 2018. Joan leaves behind her loving husband John. She was the beloved mother of James, William and Rita (Gatzke), Shirley and Richard Norman. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Kris, Jesse, Tara, Blake (Amanda), Amaraine (Stevan), Gabriel (Jessie) and Megan (David), Chelsea and Tony and her four great- grandchildren, Miles, Athanor, Sabrina and Sava. Dearly loved sister of William Bethlehem and Sjanie, Beatrix Lof, Theresa Schulenberg, Alida Bethlehem, Harry Bethlehem and Ina and many nieces and nephews. Joan survived WWII and emigrated from The Netherlands to Canada with her parents and younger siblings in 1950. She made a comfortable life for her family in Fenwick after time in Burlington and Toronto. Joan was a Red Cross Care Aid. Funeral service will be held at the Fenwick United Church, Monday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. Thank you for your consideration. Passed away on Friday June 29, 2018 in his 76th year. Our precious husband, father and grandfather was ushered into heaven into the loving arms of his savior whom he confessed. He will be greatly missed  and always remembered. Loving husband to Aafke. Dear father of Anne (Jeff), Henry (Leona), Derek (Andrea) and Laura (Norm). Dear Grandfather to Ruby, Lucy, Michael, Matthew, Luke, Jonathon, Terrance, Gracie, Cecil, Nickolas and Zoe. Visitation will be held at the Zion Free Reformed Church in Boyle on Monday July 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church on Tuesday July 3rd. Passed away at his late residence in Wellandport on Wednesday June 27, 2018 in his 71st year, Loving husband to Marjory. Dear father of Spencer (Heather), Gregory and Peggy. Loving poppa Ken to Parker. Kenneth will be sadly missed by his large family on both sides. Passed away at Welland Hospital on Monday June 25, 2018 in her 92nd year. Loving mother of Mark (Linda) and Joanne Reaman (Dan). Dear Grandmother to six, Great Grandmother to thirteen and Great Great Grandmother to seven. Annie is survived by her sister Winnifred Weller, sisters in law Laura McGill and Nancy Manns as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Wilfred (Trigger) and siblings Jim, Lloyd, Ted, Ruby, Mary and Linda. Resting at the Lampman Funeral Home 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for funeral service in the LAMPMAN CHAPEL on Friday June 29th at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens , Fonthill to follow. Visitation will be on Thursday June 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Donations to the Welland Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

Gerald Freure

The Freure family sadly announce the passing of Gerald Freure (son of Charles and Mable Freure) on June 17 at Lookout Ridge in Fonthill.  He was in his 94th year. He was very recently deceased by his loving wife of 71 years, Shirley (June 11). Devoted father of Barbara (Bryan), Ralph (Nancy), Robert, Brenda (Bruce), Beverly (Michael) and Bette (Bill).  Proud grandfather of Brandon (Angela) Dove, Chris (Lisa) and Tom (Katie) Freure, Erin and Derek (Nicole) Kearney, Rebecca (Elliott) Miller and Michael Richards.“Great” grandfather to Ayla and Silas, Nathan, Maddie and Anna, Juliette, Adam, Mark and Eleanor and Callum.  Survived by sister Joan (Joe) Harbell, sister in laws Barb Reid and Ann Roth(Ed), brother in law Bill MacDonald, cousins Jim (Beth) and Margaret Freure, nephew Jim (Pat) Harbell . Gerald played an integral part in the Niagara farming community.  He was awarded a Master Breeders Shield by Holstein Canada. He served on various agricultural boards and committees. He led 4H clubs for 15 years.  He served on the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and as a West Lincoln Alderman for 9 years.  He received the Ontario Bicentennial Certificate of Merit , as well as a Lifetime Achievement award from North Niagara Federation of Agriculture and Citizen of the Year Award. A devoted family man, he was never happier than when surrounded by his loved ones.  Respecting Gerald wishes, cremation has taken place.  Visitation will take place at LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Sunday June 17th from 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A joint Celebration of Life for Gerald and Shirley will be held at Fenwick United Church on Monday, June 18 at 11 a.m.  Lunch to follow at the church.  Private family inurnment at a later date.  The family would like to thank all the staff at Lookout Ridge for their kind and compassionate care.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
