GORDON FENWICK

FENWICK, GORDON – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gordon Lloyd Fenwick at his home in Ridgeville on Thursday November 6, 2014 in his 93rd year. He is survived by his wife Eve of 68, years, his children Jim Fenwick (Doreen), June Mearns, Myrna Ostrosser (Ron), and Jeff Fenwick, his grandchildren Heather Moyer (Adam), Steven Ostrosser and Nicholas Fenwick and his great grandchildren Ella and Daniel Moyer. Gordon was a Veteran of WWll serving overseas as a Sergeant with the Perth Regiment. Respecting Gordon’s wishes a Private Service was held at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

TED CHEZNOWSKI

CHEZNOWSKI, TED (TONY) DOUGLAS – was born November 23, 1939 in Wakaw, Saskatchewan to his parents Alex and Annie Cheznowski now deceased. Surrounded by his loving family, Ted passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on November 3, 2014. Loving father of Bradley (Jan), Jennifer, and Pamela and dear grandfather to Alexa, Jeffrey, Robert, Maggie and Josh. Dear brother to Bernie (Margaret) and lovingly remembered by sisters Helen (the late Stan), Rosanne (the late Jim), Dianne and Sherin. He was predeceased by his sister Phyllis and his infant brother in 1950. He will be missed by his many nephews and nieces. Ted had worked as General Manager at Precision Springs in Kingsville prior to his tragic motorcycle accident in 1975. He served as a deacon for two years at the Anglican Church in Ruthven. Ted had a dry sense of humour, liked playing his guitar and was a fan of country music. Ted bravely faced the many challenges life brought him as a result of the accident. Following Cremation there will be a Memorial Service for Ted at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery in Wainfleet. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

PAUL ROSINSKI

ROSINSKI, PAUL – on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at the Port Colborne General Hospital in his 86th year. Loving husband to Olga for sixty one years. Dear father of Joanne O’Hara (Tim) and Sharon Corish (Brian). Loving Papa to Lauren, Carolynn, Cameron and Spencer. Paul is survived by his brother Joe, and sisters Katherine Butz and Tilley Cote. Predeceased by his son Roger. Paul worked at General Motors in St. Catharines for over 40 years. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anns Catholic Church in Fenwick on Saturday November 15th at 10:00 A.M. Interment of Ashes at a later date. Donations to St. Anns Catholic Church and Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the staff at Port Colborne Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. SMITH, GLORIA – on Sunday October 26, 2014 at War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville in her 67th year. Gloria is survived by her brothers Charlie (Lorane), Everette (Ada), Robert, Richard (Beverly), Larry (Carolyn), sister Diane Smith (Tim), and sister in law Theresa Smith. Gloria will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Charles Smith (1976), mother Florence Smith (1998), sister Shirley Pickell (1999), brother Albert, sister Gail (2004), brother George (2012) and sister in law Nancy Smith (2011).

Predeceased by her husband Bruce, and 4 grandchildren, Brother Fred Kappler and sisters Marion Langam and Melba Chambers.

Resting at the Lampman funeral home 724 Canboro Rd., Fenwick for funeral service in the Lampman chapel on October 28 at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

ROBERT (BOB) JOLLIFFE

JOLLIFFE, ROBERT (BOB) – at the Welland County General Hospital on Friday October 3, 2014, Robert Jolliffe of Port Robinson in his 80th year. Dear father of Catherine, David (Donna), and Patti Goodfield (Mark). Loving grandfather to Betsy (David), Sarah, Matthew, Tyler, Jacob, and Noah. Great grandfather to Charlie, Robert and Henry. Robert is survived by his sister Mary-Beth Anger and his special friend Shirley Rate. Predeceased by his wife Eleanor (2012) and daughter Joanne (2012). Bob was a proud member of The Port Robinson Fire Department since 1959 and was Chief for seven years. He was a founding member of the Niagara Fire Buffs, and an active Board Member of the F.F.A.O. He was an avid golfer and a long time member of Whiskey Run Golf Course, and was a member of the Atlas Bowling League. He was also a volunteer for the Special Olympics and a recipient of the Diamond Jubilee Award. Bob worked at B.F. Goodrich for many years before his retirement. He loved to garden and woodcarve.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 7th at 11:00 A.M. at the Fonthill United Church. Cremation to follow. OSTROSSER, ZETA ELIZABETH – at Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines on Tuesday September 30, 2014, Zeta Ostrosser formerly of Fenwick in her 94th year. Dear mother of Merla Kimber (Len deceased 2012), Dave (Sue) and Ron (Myrna). Proud grandmother of five and great grandmother of six. Ken and Zeta celebrated 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. Zeta was predeceased by her only sister Erma Holloway in 1994. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for Funeral Service in the LAMPMAN CHAPEL on Thursday October 2nd at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will take place one hour prior to Service.
