Passed away at Rapelje Lodge in Welland on Saturday February 6, 2021 in her 86th year. Loving wife to Gordon for 67 years. Dear mother of Sylvia Collins (Don), Sandra Muir (Doug), Robert (Michelle) and Kelly (Susan). Loving Grandmother to eleven, Great grandmother to twelve and Great Great Grandmother to two. Doris is survived by her sister Julia Macintyre (Sandy). Predeceased by her son Rick (1988), and Grandaughter Kiely (1987). Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road , Fenwick.

  • Doris Stayzer (Deyme) was born on November 1st 1935 to Giovanni and Giustina Deyme of Chiomonte Italy. She married Gordon Stayzer in the summer of 1953 and together they shared 5 children. The late Richard Gordon (1988), Sylvia (Don), sandra (Doug), Robert (Michelle) and Kelly (Susan). She was the loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren Derek (Kim), Brent (Stacey), Stacy (Trevor), Courtney, Nicholas (Katie), Alaina (Kevin), Samantha (Matt), Richard, Sarah, kelsan, Bennett and the late Kiley ann (1987). She was blessed to share this life with 12 great grandchildren, Ayla (Trevor), Tyson, Lauren, Dylan, Dustin, Kendra, Ella, Cory, Arabella, Emette, Oakley and Daxton and 2 great great grandchildren makenna and Ashton.
    Doris was always seen at the front gates of the Wainfleet fall fair and her presence at the marshville heritage festival will be missed.
    Doris loved to paint, knit sweaters for her grandkids, garden, pickle and cook. Craft shows and Christmas decor were a fan favourite! Family get togethers always consisted of grandmas fresh made buns, Strawberry tarts and cherry cheese cake. Doris was a treasure to all who were lucky to be apart of her 86 years on this earth. She passed in the comforted care at Rapeljae Lodge on February 6th 2021.
    The world was a better place with her in it. Until we see you again, we love you.
    A sincere thank you to the nurses and REC staff in house 500 at rapeljae lodge for their unwavering care for our patriarch. We thank you for being with Doris when restriction prevented us from being there.
