MOOTE, Dorothy, Ellen (Coon). Dorothy passed away on Monday September 8, 2014 at Bella Senior Care Residence at 101 years. Dorothy was a witty, caring, happy person who loved life. The staff at Bella would see her busying herself with her Circle A Word book she always had with her. In recent months, they knew where Dorothy was as she would love to hum, sometime quite loudly, her favourite Hymns (Sweet Hour of Prayer being one) or songs she remembered from the Lawrence Welk Show. (also a favourite). Mom will be greatly missed by her son Wayne and wife Shirley. Dorothy was so proud of her Grandaughters who respected and loved her so much. Gramma (Grams) will be greatly missed by Lisa (Riley)-Oakville On., Kelly (Paul) Whitehorse, Yukon, Tera (Jason)-Clarksburg, On., Julie (Mike) Ladysmith, B.C. G.G. will be fondly remembered by her Great Grandchildren, Kai, Aja, Elle, Jack, and Georgia. Dorothy is now Home with loved ones who predeceased her. Her husband Glenn (2007), daughter Brenda Jalbert (Stan), brother Elmer Coon (Eva, sister Viola Boucock. The family would like to thank the Staff at Bella Senior Care Residence for the wonderful, thoughtful care and personal attention given to Dorothy through good and hard times and the visits paid to her in the last days. The Hugs and kind word was such a show of respect that meant so much to us. Wayne and Shirley have a Special Thank You to “Nurse Kathy”. Your compassion and care was such a help to us just when we needed it. Thank You. The family will receive visitors at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Thursday September 11, 2014 from 3 to 8 P.M. As an expression of sympathy, Memorial Donations to Hamilton General Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
Your Condolence
Our thoughts & prayers are with Wayne, Shirley and the rest of the family. Dorothy was a wonderful sister-in-law to Eva Coon and a loving Aunt to Sharon. She was and is a truly remarkable person who enriched our lives and will be remembered and cherished always. She is now in the arms of her loved ones which I know makes her smile.
Love, Hugs & Kisses, Eva & Sharon
