Your Condolence
We are sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. Our condolences go out to Pete and the
family. We were blessed to have Eve babysit our boys Adam & Matt for all those
years. She was like a grandmother to them and we all loved her dearly. She was
a kind, thoughtful and caring lady. I will miss our chats and an enjoyable cup of tea
with her. We will always have fond memories of Eve. We are thankful that she will
no longer suffer and she will be at peace. All our love Jeff, Lily, Adam and Matt.
Uncle Pete, Mike, Brian, Dave, Liz & families
We have so many fond memories of Aunt Eve. May the memories you have and the knowledge in how much she loved you get you through this time.
….Flower gardens, cherry trees, pineapple squares, Sparrow Lake, trips west, trips east, countless family picnics and Christmas get togethers, lots of laughing, lots of listening, rallying the troops for any cause, quilts, birthday cakes, hugs and smiles when they were needed the most. An ‘open door’ at any time and how she answered the phone with her beautiful ‘hello’…
We will miss her dearly.
Love
Cathy, Doug & Laura…
xoxo
Your Condolence
Mike, Heather, Chad, Geoff, Rylan, Beckett, and family,
We are very sorry to hear about your Mom and grandmother. Our thoughts are with you all. Babba was the centre of the household and loved to welcome everyone with her delicious meals. She just added another chair to the table. She will be remembered for her scrumptious pie, yummy pickles and lovely home grown/cooked dinners. Mike, Please pass along our condolences to your Dad and the family.
Dear Liz, Uncle Pete, Mike, Brian & Dave,
So sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Evelyn. She was my second mom. Think I spent just as much time at your house, Liz, as at my own. Remember checking out who was having the better supper that night, my house or yours?
So many fond memories of Auntie Evelyn. Beautiful quilts, birthday and wedding cakes (icing flowers on our finger tips to sample), spaghetti-o’s. Sleepovers in the camper in the back yard. First time I ate spinach, and I liked it. When she was catering a shower, we got to sample fancy little sandwiches with the crusts cut off. Whipped butter mmmm.
I still have the quilt she made for my first son. Sesame Street of course! She was a wonderful woman to so many people.
I will truly miss you, Auntie Evelyn, but know that you are up in heaven peacefully watching over everyone.
Kathy, James, Dante, Julian & Matteo from Thunder Bay
PS. So sorry I couldn’t fly down in time for the funeral service.
So sorry for your great loss. May she rest in peace.
