JEAN MARGUERITE (DABOLL) WELSH

Jean Marguerite (Daboll) Welsh May 13th, 1927

Mom left us peacefully at her residence at Shorthills Retirement Villa in Fonthill January 13th, 2014 aged 86.

She taught us how to live, and through physically challenging times brought optimism, joy, courage and humour to each day.  Mom was a gift to all who loved and cared for her, enriching everyone who knew her.

Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers at Shorthills and her nurses from St. Elizabeths.

She was predeceased by her loving husband George and son Barry.

Dear mom of John, Brian & his wife Leigh, Kathy Glavac & her Brian Tighe.  She was a very proud Grandma of Alicia and her husband Chris Caskie, Andrea and her Luca, Erin, Daley and his wife Alicia and Great Grandaughter Evie.

Visitation will be held at LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road in Fenwick on Friday the 24th of January from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm.  A Memorial Service in her honour will be held on Saturday January 25th at 11:00am at North Pelham Presbyterian Church, 602 Metler Road in North Pelham.  Interment at a later date.

If you wish, memorial donations can be made to Pelham Cares in Mom’s memory.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race”

We will miss you dearly.

  • My deepest condolences to the entire family. Your Mom was a part of my life for many years, I will never forget her love of music and scrabble. A great Grandmother to my girls Andrea & Alicia , always giving unconditional love and support. I will miss your laugh. God bless you Jean and may you have a great reunion with George in heaven.

  • Jean was a wonderful, open, loving and friendly person. It was always special to visit with her. Feeling you were coming to care for her, you left with the experience of having been cared for by her. She has left good memories and a wonderful legacy. She will be missed.

  • Your Mother was an amazing lady! She was a very loving, caring and friendly person. I never saw her without a beautiful smile. I first met your Mother through my Mother Jean (Lane) Phillips who taught her in the 30’s in Fenwick. I will always cherish our friendship and all the wonderful times we had over the years.
To all the family: My sincere sympathy. .Your Condolence

  • Just wanted you all to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad time. May all your wonderful memories help you through the coming weeks and months. A mother / grandmother is one of the most cherished people in our lives and can never be replaced but are loved always and forever.
