The Lord called Sid home on December 18th, 2020 at the age of 60. Loving brother of Sylvia (Henry) Boverhof, Joyce DeVries, Apie (Dianne) DeVries, Shirley Jones and Dick DeVries. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sid is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Wilma DeVries and his brother Henry DeVries.
In keeping with Sid’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. https://www.heartandstroke.ca

I new Sid for 22 years. I love him so much. We use to sit and laugh for hours at nothing. He was great with his one-liners. I love this story that I’m about to tell you. I asked him one time with his superpower name was. He said The Urinator. Don’t piss me off.
I will always remember that I still laugh when I think about it. He had such a good heart and soul. There will never be another person like him. I really can’t believe he’s gone. I’m so sorry for your loss. A lot of people lost. At least he’s gone home. Going to miss you big guy. XOXO

Our deepest condolences. So sorry to hear this. We will always remember the entire family living on the canal road. I enjoyed his company every day of high school – on the bus and in the halls. I loved his sense of humour while still being good to the core. Always enjoyed catching up over the years, his deep laugh, and quick conversation style. He was a dear friend to our family.
